I was there for some of those gigs working for the PA company Tourco – Living Colour were especially good as I recall. We did a lot of gigs there around that period of a wide-range of bands: Transvision Vamp, The Proclaimers, Kreator, Candlemass, Fishbone, Yngwie Malmsteen (about whom I have a good anecdote too risque for here), The Exploited, The Macc Lads, Vixen, Leatherwolf, Femme Fatale (as per Malmsteen), Julian Cope, Hue & Cry among others.

Lol, I was one traceys assistant, and i was there during the lock ins and they werent that bad, we were making alot of money on a sunday and built it up to be the best place to go on a sunday, it was kicking with Damien the DJ, but when we got the sack it went downhill, They thought a bird from Luton called Belinda was a wizz but she ruined the place! a certain doorman with a surname smurthwaite grassed cuz he thought he was gona get the managers job, but he come unstuck as did ansells I worked for eddy for a while afterwards and tracey wasnt his p.a! she did run one of his rock bars then she went off the seen, and its unbelievable how many people claim to be related to the fewtrells and are defo not! I have to spoke to eddy a couple of times over the yrs, but i dont know where tracey is, lisa the DJ from top bar is my best mate still.

I have many, many memories of the John Bright Street days from 86′ onwards (I’m related to the Fewtrells and I spent, well – hundreds of evenings in Boogies, Edwards No’ 8, Edwards No’ 7, Boogies Brasserie, Paramount and Goldwyns). No I don’t but do recall that she was Eddie Fewtrell’s PA when not running the bar. However, after Ansell’s got stuck in to the club I have a vague memory of her succumbing to the Ansell’s Axe (as did many ex-Fewtrell employees) following some late night lock-in shennanigans . . . from then on I don’t know what became of her.
